About the Blog

 FaithBraised.com :
Commentary, faith, humor, reviews, stories, poetry & more
from a faith-braised worldview

WELCOME!

Welcome to my two-time award winning blog, FaithBraised.com (aka FaithBraized.com): Commentary, faith, book reviews, stories, poetry & more from a faith-braised worldview.

I blog to keep my writing fresh, to share ideas that are on my mind, to offer insights based on my experience, and to honor God and share the Gospel within various contexts. I view my blogging as ministry.

Think “apologetics for the common man” or “fleshing out the Word.”  Whether through non-fiction, fiction, or poetry, my goal is to help you better connect your faith with your lived life by opening the Word in fresh and insightful ways.

All of the posts are filtered through the worldview of biblical Christianity, thus “Faith Braised ” or “Faith Braized ” (both a subtle play on the term faith-based, with clear allusions to braizer and brazed).

Top level categories of the blog include Faith, Book Reviews, Commentary, Writing, Communications, and Business. There will also be some poetry and fiction showing up. And whimsy. Whimsy is essential.

You can see the full list of “Categories/Topics” in the label cloud in the right hand column.

Just for fun, a biblical caution against tossing these faith-braised words into the brazier (keep in mind whimsy):
“Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month: and there was a fire in the brazier burning before him. When Jehudi had read three or four leaves, the king cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was in the brazier, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier” (Jeremiah 36:22-23, WEB).
Posting Schedule

I try to post something at least once each week. I’m not always successful.

Unlike some bloggers who are determined to post something daily, and will post anything, I will only post when I feel I have something that will be of value to you, my reader.

Following posts

If you want to stay informed when I do post something, enter your email on the box at the top right of every page. If you scroll all the way down, you can also follow my posts via Twitter or through Google+.

Searching / browsing posts

To look for a post related to a specific keyword, simply use the Google search box in the right-hand column. The results will appear in a new page or tab in your browser.

You can also click on any of the “Categories/Topics” in the label cloud to see all of the posts related to those labels.

You can also use the “Blog Archive” menu to browse through the posts.

To see popular posts, click on the links included in the “Most Recently Viewed Posts Over Past Week” list or the All Time Most Popular Posts” list.

FYI: Unlike many “professional” religious blogs, many associated with an organization or denomination, this blog is a one-man band operation.  There is no staff of writers, editors, graphic designers, etc. It’s just one man, one blog. I hope you find something of value here. Thanks for stopping by.
